LENNY Harbinson hopes to speak with the St Enda’s Glengormley contingent about joining the Antrim set-up over the coming days.

Odhran Eastwood, Peter Healy and James McAuley will be invited into the fold while Kristian Healy is likely to be sidelined for a “couple of months” due to an ongoing groin injury that needs rest.

Eoin Nagle is also on Harbinson’s radar but he could declare for the Antrim U20s this season, although no final decision has been taken on the talented youngster.

The St Enda’s corner-forward had a sensational year as the Hightown Road club swept the boards in Antrim and Ulster before losing the All-Ireland Intermediate final to Kilcummin at Croke Park last weekend.

Nagle signed off with a brilliant goal against the Kerry men and showed the kind of confidence the Antrim forward line has been lacking at times this year.

Versatile defender Peter Healy, who is expected to rejoin Sigerson-chasing UCD this week, will boost Harbinson’s options following their three consecutive defeats in Division Four to Derry, Wexford and Leitrim.

Odhran Eastwood has been on the fringes of the Antrim seniors over the last couple of seasons and his brilliant form for St Enda’s this year gives him every chance of seeing some game-time in the county’s remaining four games in Division Four.

St Enda’s captain James McAuley will also be invited into the senior set-up after a string of excellent displays for his club this year.

“We’ve had our eye on James McAuley this year who played really well in St Enda’s fantastic run,” confirmed Harbinson. “We wanted to give all the St Enda’s lads as much time and space as they aimed for the All-Ireland, so hopefully we will see them with us soon.”

Antrim resume their Division Four campaign at home to London on Saturday February 24.
