Connacht Club SFC semi-finals

Ballintubber (Mayo) 3-11 Aughawillan (Leitrim) 1-8

SUBSTITUTE Jamsie Finnety scored two goals as Ballintubber advanced to the Connacht final with a nine-point win over Aughawillan at Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada.

Ballintubber were three ahead at half-time, but Finnerty scored twice after his introduction, while Alan Plunkett added a third goal.

Cillian O’Connor also tagged on six points, while Ciarán Gilheany grabbed Aughawillan’s consolation.

Corofin (Galway) 4-22 Clann na nGael (Roscommon) 0-7

GALWAY champions Corofin delivered a 27-point hammering to Clann na nGael at Dr Hyde Park.

First-half goals from Colin Brady and Michael Lundy set the tone and Corofin continued to run riot after the break, adding a further brace of majors from man-of-the-match Jason Leonard, who ended with a tally of 2-6.

Munster Club SFC semi-finals

St Joseph’s, Miltown Malbay (Clare) 2-11 The Nire (Waterford) 0-9

MILTOWN Malbay are into their first ever Munster Club senior football final after an eight-point victory over The Nire at Fraher Field.

The Clare champions deservedly led by four points at the break, but it was second-half goals from Cormac Murray and substitute Seán Malone that confirmed their place in the final.

Dr Croke’s (Kerry) 5-20 St Finbarr’s (Cork) 1-11

DR CROKE’S put on an exhibition as they sauntered into the Munster final with a massacre of St Finbarr’s.

Croke’s were seven ahead by the 20th minute and never looked back. First-half goals from midfielders Johnny Buckley and Daithí Casey, followed by three more after the break from David Shaw, Mícheál Burns and Jordan Kiely put the gloss on the result.

Leinster Club SFC quarter-finals

Kilmacud Croke’s (Dublin) 2-17 Dunboyne (Meath) 0-7

KILMACUD Croke’s were in total control throughout this encounter and ahead from the sixth minute.

Former Dublin and Clare forward Pat Burke finished with 0-4 for the four-time Leinster champions, while back-to-back Allstar Paul Mannion led the scoring with an impressive 2-6.

Portlaoise (Laois) 1-14 Moorefield (Kildare) 1-11

PORTLAOISE got the better of Moorefield in a pulsating Leinster quarter-final.

Paul Cahillane was the star for the victors as his seven points helped Portlaoise make up for defeat to Moorefield a year previous.

Moorefield battled back in the second-half, but they left themselves too much to do.

Mullinalaghta St Columba’s (Longford) 1-6 Rhode (Offaly) 0-7

RHODE were dealt a major blow from which they never recovered when Brian Darby was shown a straight red card after a clash with James McGivney on 18 minutes.

A Jayson Matthews goal proved the crucial score for St Columba’s as he reacted fastest to a shot that came off the crossbar.

Éire Óg (Carlow) 2-9 Newtown Blues (Louth) 0-8

TWO goals in two minutes midway through the first-half from Murtough Ware and Brendan Kavanagh ensured Éire Óg advanced to the last-four.

Newtown’s Jamie Kelly received a straight red card and Andy McDonnell picked up a black along with an earlier yellow to also receive his marching orders.
