Crunch Ulster clashes on the cards after Scotstown, Crossmaglen, Eoghan Rua and Gaoth Dobhair win through

CROSSMAGLEN will take on Gweedore, and Eoghan Rua will meet Scotstown in the semi-finals of the Ulster Club SFC after all four came through testing quarter-final ties.

The tightest game of the weekend was at the Athletic Grounds on Saturday night, where Crossmaglen just got the better of Coalisland in a match that saw two players from each side dismissed.

This afternoon, meanwhile, Scotstown had to withstand a Burren fightback, and a controversial penalty call, to get the better of Down champions Burren.

Burren were behind 0-11 to 0-10 with three minutes to go when Ryan Treanor seemed to be fouled in the square but referee Sean Hurson thought not.

Coleraine, for whom Colm McGoldrock netted twice, also fought off the second-half challenge of Castlerahan to eventually win by six points.

They seemed to be well in control, being six points up at half-time, but the Cavan men cut that gap to just one with five unanswered points in the second period.

Likewise, Donegal champs Gaoth Dobhair were well in command at the break, leading 2-10 to 0-6, but were stung by 1-4 without reply, before ultimately finishing the stronger.
