You can apply now for the Gaelic4Girls and Gaelic4Teens' 2018 schemes

APPLICATIONS are open for the Ladies Gaelic Football Association 's 2018 LGFA Gaelic4Girls and Gaelic4Teens programmes.

Gaelic4Girls is celebrating its ten-year anniversary and Armagh All-Star Aimee Mackin says the schemes are a great introduction to the sport.

Former Dublin star Louise Kelly said the initiative can help bring children out of their shell while LGFA’s Operations and Planning Manager Paula Prunty said it's about learning through fun, skill games.

“The programme has been rolled out in over 350 sites, and I can only estimate that over 20,000 girls between the ages of 8 and 13 have participated,” Ms Prunty added.
