Brian Dooher and Pascal Canavan will start their first games for Tyrone in this year's Ulster championship against Derry on Sunday at Clones.

Forwards Gerard Cavlan and Ciaran McBride are among the casualties as Danny Ball has made wholesale changes for Sunday's crunch semi-final meeting. Four personnel changes and five positional switches have been introduced to the team which played so poorly against Armagh a fortnight ago.

Along with Canavan and Dooher, Ronan McGarrity is another of the newcomers, making his first appearance in the 1997 championship. Feargal Logan is the other change, winning his place back in the heart of the defence after missing the Armagh game through injury. The men to lose out are Paul O'Neill, McBride, Sean McLaughlin, and Cavlan, who is still not thought to be fully fit.

Meanwhile, Louth have made two changes in attack to the team to face Offaly in the Leinster championship semi-final on Sunday. Pat Butterly returns for Aaron Hoey, who scored two points in Louth's quarter-final win over Carlow four weeks ago. David Reilly comes in at centre half-forward in place of Brendan Kerin, who he replaced during the Carlow match.

Tyrone (v Derry): F McConnell; P Devlin, C Lawn, F Devlin; N Donnelly, F Logan, R McGarrity; E Kilpatrick, Pascal Canavan; A Cush, S McCallan, B Dooher; M McGleenan, S Lawn, Peter Canavan (capt.).

Louth (v Offaly): N O'Donnell; D O'Sullivan, G O'Neill, R Rooney; G Curran, J Donaldson, S Melia; S O'Hanlon, K Reilly; O McDonnell, D Reilly, A Rooney; P Butterly, C O'Hanlon, C Kelly.

Omagh Town Football Club officially became a limited company last night and will float on the stock market, it was confirmed at the club's AGM.

It was agreed that as of June 1 1997, a new company - Omagh Town Football Company Limited - would be taking over the sole responsibility of running the football affairs of the club.

One of the benefits of the move is that any new investors who are interested in buying shares in the club will not be liable for the club's debts which mounted mainly as result of the £170,000 development work carried out at St Julian's Road several years ago.

The role of the company will be to solely run the football side of the club.

The social club will exist as a separate entity, but will assist the company by helping with funding and paying off any outstanding creditors.

Omagh follow Newry Town by going onto the stock market. Other Irish League clubs like Cliftonville and Linfield became limited companies but did not sell shares to the public. It is hoped that approximately £50,000 of new money will be generated which will be used, among other things, to strengthen the team.

The shares are likely to be sold at £1 each. This would mean a £500 investment would guarantee a potential investor a 1 per cent overall share and the possibilty of joining the board of directors.
