ST MARY’S, GLASDRUMMAN: This Friday sees the full Scór na nÓg team in action, with instrumentalists Peter Doran, Cara Sloan, Aoife and Dana Leckey and Niamh McDowell, balladeers Clodagh Morgan, Aoife and Tara Grant, Ciara Rooney and Niamh McDowell as well as All-Ireland champion solo singer Niamh McDowell at the clubrooms for an evening of craic agus ceoil starting at 8pm.
PEARSE’S, ANNAGHMORE: The club will be holding a health and wellbeing day on April 29 in the clubrooms.
Naomh Eoin is holding a foundation coaching course in the club on Friday night from 7-10pm and then Sunday morning for interested parties.
ST PETER’S, WARRENPOINT: Plans are at an advanced stage for the fourth annual Cumann Pheadair Naofa 10K and 5K on the Bay to take place on Sunday, May 21 at 10.30am. This year sees the introduction of a charity walk of the route with donations from the walker for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and Newry Hospice.
Elsewhere, Gaelic4Girls starts on Sunday March from 10-11am in St Mark’s High School, Warrenpoint for eight weeks. Open to girls aged 8-12 who are not currently registered with a ladies’ football team. Participants will receive a G4G t-shirt and certificate on completion. Cost for the programme is £10.
