DEFENDING champions Trillick will meet Killyclogher in the last eight of the Donnelly Vauxhall Tyrone SFC after the remaining quarter-finalists were decided over the weekend.

The holders came through comfortably in yesterday’s round one clash with Eglish, while Killyclogher were equally as impressive in disposing of Errigal Ciaran in Saturday’s game.

Yesterday’s other match between Omagh and Clonoe ended level, with Carrickmore, winners over Greencastle on Friday evening, awaiting the winners of that one.

Coalisland are due to take on Kildress, while Dromore will play Ardboe.

Three of the quarter-finals are due to be played next weekend, along with the replay of the Omagh-Clonoe first round tie.

Omagh 1-7 Clonoe 0-10

THREE stoppage time scores brought Clonoe back from the dead to force a draw with Omagh at Dungannon last night and send their Donnelly Vauxhall Tyrone SFC tie to a replay.

Two Danny McNulty scores pushed Clonoe into a 1-3 to 0-1 lead, and they still led by two when Aaron Grugan collected Ronan O’Neill’s pass to slot home a 24th minute Omagh goal.

O’Neill’s three points helped the St Enda’s to a 1-4 to 0-4 interval lead, and they led by five after holding their opponents scoreless for almost half-an-hour.

It wasn’t until the dying moments that the O’Rahilly’s rediscovered the scoring touch, with Daryl Magee (2) and McNulty converting frees to tie it up.

Killyclogher 2-16 Errigal Ciaran 0-11

KILLYCLOGHER produced a devastating attacking display in the second half to rout Errigal Ciaran at Carrickmore and set up a repeat of last year’s county final against champions Trillick.

Errigal led by 0-9 to 0-5 at the interval, with Peter Harte, Davy Harte, Declan Quinn and Padraig McGirr on target. But a transformed St Mary’s side controlled the second period, out-scoring their opponents by 2-11 to 0-2.

Conal McCann, Mark Bradley and Simon O’Neill all found the target, and two goals in the space of a minute from O’Neill and Feargal Meenagh ended the tie as a contest at the beginning of the final quarter.

Trillick 3-18 Eglish 0-11

CHAMPIONS Trillick began the defence of their title with a comfortable win over Eglish at Augher. Ryan McKenna hit a couple of excellent Eglish scores, but Niall Donnelly’s 29th minute goal sent Trillick in with a 1-7 to 0-7 interval lead.

Lee Brennan was finding the range with consistency as they pulled further clear, and a sweeping move ended with Daire Gallagher punching home a second goal on 24 minutes. And Lee Brennan sealed it with a brilliant stoppage time goal to bring his tally to 1-8.
