Donegal's Neil McGee loses his appeal against two match ban
DONEGAL full-back Neil McGee has lost his appeal against the two-match ban imposed for his sending off in the Ulster Senior Football Championship quarter-final win over Fermanagh.
The Gweedore defender had hoped to be available for Saturday evening's semi-final clash with Monaghan at Kingspan Breffni Park, but the Central Hearings Committee verdict means McGee is almost certain to miss out.
McGee has the option of a further plea to the Disputes Resolution Authority.
The 30-year-old was red carded after being adjudged to have struck Ruairi Corrigan with his arm following an initial foul by the Fermanagh man during the June 12 meeting in Ballybofey.
