Tyrone schools at the double in Cumann na mBunscol finals

TYRONE primary schools cleaned up at the finals of the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Uladh Indoor Football Championships in Meadowbank Sports Arena, Magherafelt.

Defending girls’ champions St Colmcille’s PS, Carrickmore retained their title by seeing off the challenge of the Armagh and Antrim champions before defeating St Trea’s PS from Ballymaguigan, Derry in the final.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ competition, St Teresa’s PS, Loughmacrory completed the Red Hand county double when they overcame Crossmaglen and Burren, before emerging victorious against the Derry champions St Brigid’s PS, Lavey 2-2 to 1-3 in a nail-biting final.
