DOWN'S season has taken another turn for the worse with the news that Caolan Mooney has left the panel.
The Rostrevor forward tweeted earlier today: "Just been approached and asked have I left the down panel the answer is simply yes I have."
The former Collingwood AFL player, who won back-to-back MacRory and Hogan Cups with St. Colman's Newry, confirmed to The Irish News that he has quit Eamonn Burns' squad.
He hadn't featured in the National League because of a hamstring injury.
