Moortown 3-8 Ramor Utd 0-11

Moortown hit the net three times in the second half to get their Kukri Sports Ulster Club Minor Football Tournament challenge off to a winning start at St Paul’s.

The Tyrone champions trailed by five points at one stage to a lively Ramor side that performed with flair and positivity in the opening period.

With the wind in their backs, they forged ahead by 0-8 to 0-3, with Liam Brady and James Brady displaying a keen eye for the posts.

But the St Malachy’s found their rythmn after the restart, and a renewed vigour saw them turn the battle for breaking ball in their favour.

Conan McLernon (2) and Jack McGuigan were the men who took their chances with clinical finishes to the net as they reached out for victory in this fiercely contested preliminary round tie.
