Killybegs aim for Donegal repeat

Ulster Bank Corn Cuchulainn final: St Joseph's, Enniskillen (Fermanagh) v St Catherine's, Killybegs (Donegal) (today, Brewster Park 11.15am)

ST Catherine's, Killybegs will aim to follow in the footsteps of Magh Ene, Bundoran and keep the Corn Cuchulainn title in Donegal for another 12 months when they meet St Joseph's, Enniskillen today.

Regardless of the outcome, history is set to be made as neither school has managed to get their hands on an Ulster title in the modern era, although St Joseph's did go all the way back in 1965 under the guidance of the late John Vesey.

There is no doubt that the two best sides in the competition have made it to the final and in scoring a combined tally of 225 goals while doing so, a high scoring encounter is on the cards.

The Fermanagh champions overcame St Brigid's, Armagh and St Aidan's, Cootehill on their path to the final and they will carry the favourites tag.

The St Catherine's starting 15 hails from just two clubs, Naomh Ultan and Killybegs, and based on their form to date they will be confident that they can go all the way. They had to pull out all the stops to beat Colaiste Ailigh, Letterkenny in a tight county final but since then they haven't looked back.

They turned on the style to beat Tyrone champions Dungannon Integrated in the quarter finals before seeing off Monaghan representatives Ballybay last time out.
