IN hurling, Leinster's Walsh Cup gets underway on Sunday January 11, with Antrim having a home game against Dublin IT, at a venue yet to be confirmed.
The format has four groups of three teams each, as follows: Group 1: Carlow, Kilkenny, NUI Galway; Group 2: Antrim, Dublin, Dublin IT;
Group 3: Laois, UCD, Wexford;
Group 4: Galway, Offaly, Westmeath.
The three-team groups mean Antrim must wait a fortnight for their second group game, travelling to take on Dublin in Parnell Park on January 25. The other first round fixtures are Carlow v NUI Galway, Laois v UCD, and Westmeath v Offaly, all at 2pm on Sunday January 11.
