Bessbrook sweep Omagh aside to lay down a marker

Armagh side who dominated the entire second half.Cullyhanna's Shea Hoey (1-7) was in rampant form while his club-mate and St Paul's substitute Shane Conlon fisted in his side's second goal after full-back and captain Cathal Boylan made an impressive win.Further points from Mark McCabe, Caolan McConville and Miceal McNamee gave St Paul's an impressive 2-17 to 1-6 lead with 10 minutes to play, and although Aidan Fullerton raised a green flag in the dying minutes, it was but mere consolation.St Paul's celebrations were rather muted as while they appreciate beating a team of Omagh's stature, it is in March they want to be lifting silverware.

ST Paul's, Bessbrook put Omagh CBS to the sword with a rampant second half performance to claim the Danske Bank McCormack Cup at the Dub last night.

Omagh CBS got off to an excellent start as John Harkin raced 50 metres, first pulling away from his marker then shirking challenges from chasing defenders before coolly slotting into the top left corner of the St Paul's net.

However, the south Armagh side quickly found their way back into the game with Jarlath Og Burns squeezing his shot between the sticks before Shea Hoey tagged on a converted free.

Harkin tapped over his second score, this time from a 35-metre free, but with 11 minutes played St Paul's took the lead and didn't look back.

Murray misjudged Mark McCabe's long ball over the top and with Hoey behind his marker he struck first time and the ball scuffed the post before rolling into the net.

St Paul's looked assured from then onwards and although Peter Teague and Andrew McGrath raised white flags before the break it was the south
