Council to look at 'ballboy' incident

ULSTER Council representative Ryan Feeney says the provincial body will have to study the fourth official's report after a Monaghan selector was pictured in a steward's bib supplying goalkeeper Rory Beggan with balls during Sunday's Ulster SFC semi-final replay against Armagh, writes Ryan McCann. "No request has been made to the Ulster Council for the use of ballboys," said Feeney, who is head of community development, strategy and public affairs with the provincial council. "If requests were made we would consider them but, at the minute, none have been made. "I was actually at the game and I didn't notice Monaghan supplying the balls to Rory Beggan. It is actually something we would be watching pretty closely. "The fourth official will do a report and if there is any breach in the guidelines we will deal with them in due course. "We couldn't say now what the retrospective action will be but the Ulster Council will view the report and the CCC will make a decision on it."
