Bans decision due

ARMAGH trio Andy Mallon, Brendan Donaghy and Kieran Toner (right) will learn this morning if they will be allowed to play in Sunday's Ulster SFC semi-final clash with Monaghan.

The trio picked up one-game bans following the pre-match brawl with Cavan at the Athletic Grounds earlier this month. In appealing the bans, the players went before the GAA's Central Appeals Committee at Croke Park last night, with a verdict due to be issued before lunchtime today. Should the appeal prove unsuccessful, Armagh may take the matter to the Disputes Resolution Authority, whose decision is binding. Mallon, Donaghy and Toner have already had one appeal turned down by the Central Hearings Committee.
