Munster SFC quarter-final: Clare ..................2-8 Waterford ...........2-8

A point in the dying seconds of this game from Waterford's paul Whyte rescued a draw for the Deise and it was no less than they deserved.

Clare netted early through Enda Coughlan and with the first half almost over led 1-4 to 0-2.

A paul Whyte goal, however, reduced the arrears to just three at the break. In the second half, scores were scarce as Jamie Malone and Gary Brennan stretched Clare's lead with Whyte and substitute Michael Curry keeping Waterford in touch. With three minutes to go, the Banner were three to the good.

As injury-time approached, Clare were then made to pay for wides and mistakes as Whyte remained cool for the dogged Waterford men to point and force a Dungarvan replay.
