Man of the moment...

PETE MCGRATH

AFTER 12 years away from the Ulster Championship, Pete McGrath is making a welcome return to county action.

A hugely-respected figure, it's a little known fact that 'wee Pete' was only 37 years old when he led Down to All-Ireland glory in 1991.

At 'only' 60 years of age, McGrath has packed a lot into his managerial CV. After steering Down to an All-Ireland minor crown in 1987, he landed two senior titles in 1991 and 1994. In 2009, he nearly achieved 'the triple crown.' A last second goal by Cork prevented him from adding an All-Ireland U21 title to his roll of honour.
