TONY McEntee was last night confirmed as the new senior football manager of St Brigid's, Dublin.

The former Armagh and Crossmaglen All-Ireland winner replaces Gerry McEntee and Mark Byrne who stepped down following the club's Division One title win earlier in the week.

McEntee, along with co-manager Gareth O'Neill, led Cross to back-to-back All-Ireland club titles in 2011 and 2012.

Their bid for three ina-row was ended by St Brigid's of Roscommon in the All-Ireland semi-finals last February. McEntee's twin brother, John, was appointed as Joe Kernan's successor at the south Armagh club this week along with another Cross legend Oisin McConville.

n FORMER GAA president Peter Quinn will be signing copies of his book 'The Outsider' in McBrien's newsagents, Lisnaskea, at 3pm this afternoon. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided.
