ST Vincent's overcame the early dismissal of Ger Brennan to beat St Loman's of Westmeath 0-11 to 0-9 in the Leinster Club SFC in Mullingar.
The Dublin All-Ireland winner and St Vincent's captain dismissed after just six minute for a strike on Kelvin Reilly.
The Westmeath champions trailed by two-point at the break but scores from John Heslin helped St Loman's take the lead.
It was left to former Dublin forward Tomas Quinn (above) to save St Vincent's blushes and 'Mossy' obliged with a brace of late points to seal a two-point win for the Dublin champions.
