Key battle...

Colm Cooper (Kerry) v Jason McLaughlin (Cavan)

A CALCULATeD guess about who will be asked to mark Kerry's star forward - but, of course, it won't just be one man trying to restrict the influence of Colm Cooper. The feeling is that Jason McLoughlin, who is back in the team after not being fit to start against Derry or London, will get the job given he is their best man-to-man marker. he picked up Fermanagh's centre half-forward Shane McCabe in both meetings and was also up against Monaghan's Conor McManus in the Ulster semi-final.

McLoughlin is quick and tenacious but will still need help against 'the Gooch', whose move to the playmaker role has worked well, showcasing his vision and passing ability. Cavan will get men around him, notably skipper/sweeper Alan Clarke and other defenders, with the hope of stopping many Kerry attacks at source.
