Ivorian midfielder Ismaila Soro set to join Celtic

Celtic boss Neil Lennon

Neil Lennon has confirmed Celtic have agreed a deal with Israeli side Bnei Yehuda to sign Ismaila Soro.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who was born in the Ivory Coast, played in Moldova and Belarus before moving to Israel in 2018.

Ahead of the William Hill Scottish Cup fourth-round tie against Partick Thistle on Saturday, the Parkhead boss said: "I think a deal has been agreed.

"We are waiting on paperwork now so hopefully that can be resolved over the next few days."

Earlier this week, Celtic clinched the signing of Poland Under-21 striker Patryk Klimala on a four-and-a-half year contract..

The Hoops have paid a reported £3.5million to secure the 21-year-old from Polish top flight side Jagiellonia Bialystok, where he has scored seven goals in 17 league appearances so far this season.

Kimala flew into Glasgow late on Sunday night to put the finishing touches on his move before undergoing a medical.

He will now meet up with Neil Lennon's squad for the first time on Wednesday ahead of his official unveiling and could make his debut in Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup clash away to Partick Thistle.
