Soccer: Irish Premiership stats: Saturday April 21 2018

Ards v Ballinamallard United

(today, Bangor Fuels Arena, 3pm)

BALLINAMLLARD should be on a high after finally getting off bottom spot with victory over Carrick Rangers midweek. Ards boss Colin Nixon has indicated that he will give young players their chance in their final two games of the season.

Odds: H: 6/5 D: 13/5 A: 7/4

Verdict: Ballinamallard United

Crusaders v Cliftonville

(today, Seaview, 3pm)

CLIFTONVILLE would love nothing more than to dent their rival’s title bid, but their recent record in this derby has been abysmal. Last month’s 3-1 win at Solitude stopped a run of seven straight league wins for Crusaders. The home side have more to play for, and should gain another win in this fixture.

Odds: H: 4/11 D: 19/5 A: 11/2

Verdict: Crusaders

Dungannon Swifts v Warrenpoint Town

(today, Stangmore Park, 3pm)

WARRENPOINT interim boss Stephen McDonnell has won three out of his six games in charge and another victory here would help his case in securing the job on a permanent basis. Dungannon have tailed off as the season has wound down but home advantage may see them home here.

Odds: H: 1/1 D: 13/5 A: 15/8

Verdict: Dungannon Swifts

Glenavon v Ballymena United

(today, Mourneview Park, 3pm)

WITH little on the line this should be a low-key clash at Mourneview Park. Glenavon have more to play for as they try to fend off Linfield and hold onto third spot.

Odds: H: 11/20 D: 16/5 A: 7/2

Verdict: Draw

Glentoran v Carrick Rangers

(today, the Oval, 3pm)

GLENTORAN, who are understood to be willing to chat to Darren Murphy about their vacant manager’s position, look set to be without Curtis Allen after he was sent off against Dungannon midweek having scored two goals in the 4-2 victory. On the same night, Carrick dropped into the automatic relegation spot after a 2-1 loss to fellow strugglers Ballinamallard United.

Odds: H: 3/4 D: 13/5 A: 3/1

Verdict: Glentoran

Linfield v Coleraine

(today, Windsor Park, 3pm)

COLERAINE are chasing the title but Linfield are still chasing the third place finish that would provide an easier path to Europa League football. The visitors will be minus the suspended Josh Carson.

Odds: H: 5/2 D: 5/2 A: 10/11

Verdict: Draw
