GLENAVON can leapfrog Coleraine and go top of the Danske Bank Premiership on goal difference with a home win against Dungannon Swifts tonight.

The Lurgan Blues go into the Mourneview Park clash in flying form as top scorers in the league with 27 goals from eight games this season which have yielded six wins and only one defeat – a 4-2 reverse against Coleraine.

Since that 3-1 defeat Gary Hamilton’s side, spearheaded by seven-goal striker Andrew Mitchell, have bounced back impressively by beating Ards, Cliftonville and Carrick Rangers; conceding just once in the process.

Meanwhile, the Swifts have recovered from losing their first three games of the season to get within touching distance of the top half of the table. Starting against Coleraine, Glentoran and Linfield was asking a lot but since then Rodney McAree’s side have beaten Ards, Ballinamallard and Warrenpoint and drew with reigning champions Crusaders last weekend.
