Cliftonville manager Gerard Lyttle resigns

Gerard Lyttle, who has been linked with the manager's position at Sligo Rovers, has resigned as Cliftonville boss.

Cliftonville Football Club has announced the resignation of manager Gerard Lyttle.

Lyttle, who has been linked with the vacant Sligo Rovers post, tendered his resignation to club chairman Gerard Lawlor this afternoon.

In a statement Cliftonville FC said it "wishes Gerard well in his future career."

Mal Donaghy and George McMullan will assume managerial responsibilities for Saturday's Danske Bank Premiership fixture with Glenavon.
