CLIFTONVILLE’S winning run came to an end on Saturday as they lost away to Glentoran in Gary Haveron’s first win at the helm of the east Belfast club.

While Jay Donnelly had put the Reds in front just before the break, Nacho Navo struck soon after the interval to level matters. With six minutes remaining, Steven Gordon headed home the winner for the Glens.

Crusaders, meanwhile, moved four points clear at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership as a Paul Heatley hat-trick saw them run out 3-1 winners over Carrick Rangers. Linfield trail behind the Crues as they were only able to pick up a point at Coleraine. Substitute James McLaughlin levelled for the Bannsiders after Andrew Waterworth had scored for the Blues.

Eoin Bradley grabbed a brace as Glenavon saw off Ballymena 5-0. Portadown picked up a 2-1 win away to Ballinamallard, while Ards were held to a 3-3 draw at home to Dungannon Swifts.
