Charlton sign Northern Ireland striker Josh Magennis from Kilmarnock

Charlton have confirmed the signing of striker Josh Magennis from Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old joins on a two-year contract after spending the last six seasons in Scotland with Aberdeen, St Mirren and Killie.

Magennis was part of the Northern Ireland squad that reached the last 16 of the European Championship in France earlier this summer, featuring in three of the side's four matches.

He started his career in Northern Ireland as a goalkeeper before signing for Cardiff and was converted to a striker at the Welsh club.

He becomes Russell Slade's eighth signing of the summer and will wear the number nine shirt.
