IT'S an understatement that last night's Euro 2016 draw could've gone better for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The Republic were placed against Belgium, Sweden and Italy in Group E, prompting manager Martin O'Neill to quip "I thought I was coming here to enjoy the draw and I'm not so sure that is the case any more."
The North didn't fare much better – Michael O'Neill's side were drawn against Poland, Ukraine and pre-tournament favourites Germany in Group C.
So not all Irish eyes were smiling last night: here is the best reaction on Twitter:
If the republic can beat them.... #gawa

Tough group and a crushing blow for GAA journalists who'll have to fill much more space than they hoped to next July.
