Kyle Lafferty left out for Northern Ireland's Euro 2016 clash with Ukraine

NORTHERN Ireland boss Michael O'neill has dropped Kyle Lafferty for crucial Group C clash with Ukraine.

O'Neill has made five changes from the side that faced Poland on Sunday, most notably star striker Lafferty after their opening game defeat.

QPR forward Conor Washington will play as the lone man up front in a 4-5-1 formation. 

Midfielder Chris Baird has also been left out for this evening's fixture along with Paddy McNair, while winger Stuart Dallas and utility man Cory Evans have been named in the starting line-up.

Defenders Conor McLaughlin and Shane Ferguson have also been sidelined for  experiened head Aaron Hughes and Watford's Craig Cathcart.

Ukraine: Pyatov, Fedetskiy, Khacheridi, Rakitskiy, Shevchuk, Sydorchuk, Stepanenko, Yarmolenko, Kovalenko, Konoplyanka, Seleznyov. Subs: Boyko, Butko, Tymoschuk, Kucher, Zozulya, 
Rotan, Budkivskiy, Rybalka, Garmash, Zinchenko, Karavayev, 
Shevchenko. 

Northern Ireland: McGovern, Hughes, Cathcart, McAuley, Jonny Evans, Ward, Corry Evans, Davis, Norwood, Dallas, Washington. Subs: Carroll, McLaughlin, Ferguson, Baird, McGinn, 
Grigg, Lafferty, McCullough, McNair, Magennis, Hodson, Mannus.
