During our underage amalgamation with Atticall Brendan was involved with coaching underage teams and passing on his knowledge and skills to the underage players of both ciubs. Brendan was a gentleman in the true sense of the word and will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of his company. A true legend of the game and a key figure in the county's fortunes in that glorious All-Ireland Win of 1968. May the soft soil of Mourne rest easily on his breast. Ni bhfeichimuid a leitheid aris. Go ndeanai Dia trocaire ar a anam uasail dhilis.
