JOHN MARTIN, GLENN: There will be a Sing-a-long Movie and Santa Visit on Sunday.

ROSLEA SHAMROCKS: All proceeds from the club’s fifth annual Christmas Eve street collection will go towards the Oisin McGrath Foundation. Help to maintain the club’s tradition of supporting worthy local causes. Contact Martina on 07882 901976 to arrange a two-hour time slot from 11am onwards.

GLASDRUMMAN GAC: Five people have made it through Last Man Standing after the league and championships. The next round of fixtures for this competition will be in the National League. Congratulations to the Ballyholland Set Dancers and Gavin Gribben the solo singer from Mayobridge for attaining the Ulster Scór na Og titles in their respective competitions.


The kids from the younger youth group will have their Christmas trip to Coco’s on Sunday. The minibus will leave from the clubrooms at 1.30pm returning at 4.30pm.


The young people will have their usual playtime, then dinner and a visit to Santa. Please wear your Christmas jumpers.


Volunteers are needed for the Senior Scór in the following categories: ballad group, solo singing, instrumental music and recitation. Contact Tony, Donna or any committee member.

LAMH DHEARG: The club proudly presents the play, Em 2 Balloons on Wednesday December 27. The play is written by Mick Draine, who wrote Lemonade Sandwich and stars Gerard Nolan and Ciaran Nolan of Pulling Moves fame.


The play has already been performed to packed houses and attracted rave reviews. Tickets are £10. Contact Maura on 07855 403744.

O’DONOVAN ROSSA: The club are calling on all Gaels on St Stephen’s Day to take part in a fun run/walk up on the Divis Mountain. This year’s chosen charity is SHINE (Spina bifida, Hydrocephalus Information Networking Equality).


They are a totally voluntary charity whose aim is to provide a society that meets the needs, values the contribution and celebrates the lives of people living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.


On the day of the run/walk, which is in its eighth year, the club will be asking for a small donation that will go to this worthy cause.


Why not make it a family occasion and bring the kids and even the family pet? The run or walk is approximately 5km and will start from the car park on top of Divis, moving across to the stone and back. Participants are asked to assemble at 10.45am for an 11am start.


Last year’s event was a massive success when approximately 250 took part involving Gaels from a variety of clubs who are regulars at this events.

ARDMORE GAC: The club AGM has been re-arranged for Sunday, January 10 at 7pm in the Pastoral Centre.


Thanks to everyone who attended the club’s foundation coaching award last weekend.

ST MARY’S, KILLYMAN: Irish dancing classes continue every Monday at 6.30pm in the community centre. New members are always welcome. Ceili dancing classes will continue on Tuesday night from 8pm to 10pm in the community centre. Anyone from P6 and above is welcome to attend. There will be a ceili dance in the community centre on January 16 at 9.30pm. The club history book can still be purchased from Terry McShane. He can be contacted on 07919348335.


St Mary’s, Killyman would once again like to extend their sympathies to the Comac and O’Hagan families on the passing of Daryl.

DONAGHMORE: Congratulations to the ballad group of Niamh and Ciara McCrystal, Emer McCormack, Beth Murray and Aine McLoughlin who won Ulster Scor na nOg in Silverbridge on and now progress to the All-Ireland in Killarney on January 29.


Congratulations also to the instrumental group (Beth Murray, Niamh and Ciara McCrystal and Maeve and Anna O’Donnell) and Solo singing (Niamh McCrystal) who both finished second.

DOWN SUPPORTERS CLUB: Down Supporters Club are running a bus to the McKenna Cup game away to Donegal in Ballybofey on Sunday, January 3 leaving Castlewellan at 9.15am sharp and Newry at 10am. Fares: Adults £15 U16 £10.

ST PATRICK’S, ROCK: The club AGM will take place on Sunday, January 10 at 6pm. It is important that anyone with an interest in the club attends the AGM. Nomination forms are available on our website.

KICKHAM’S, CREGGAN: The club would like to thank everyone who attended the big fundraising weekend on Saturday and Sunday.


The club is immensely proud of the support shown for their hurlers’ upcoming All-Ireland semi-final and the primary school, but as a community the festive atmosphere that was generated was immeasurable.


Many thanks to every man woman and child who donated, attended and/or helped in any way – it was a massive success.
