BOXING experts give their predictions for Saturday's big fight.

VERY close to call. I am going with Frampton. He is a focused boxer and very disciplined. I was very impressed with his reaction after he got knocked down twice in El Paso. His resilience was exceptional. There is only one Carl Frampton. Frampton to win on points.

Adrian Patterson,

St John Bosco ABC, Newry

CARL has come from a good boxing background. He’s come through the High Performance in Dublin and has a good boxing brain. I think his tactics will be to stay away and not fight inside. In the later rounds, I could see Carl getting on top and he’ll stop Quigg in the ninth round.

Bernard McComiskey,

former Matchroom pro and Gilford ABC coach

THE early rounds may be tight, but Frampton to pull away by bagging some of the late rounds. Quigg will be very durable and will not be easy to break down. Looking forward to it.

Philip Keogh,

Dublin Docklands BC

HE MAY have to weather a stormy start from Quigg, but Frampton to win in the ninth.

Michael Hawkins and boxers,

Holy Trinity ABC

I HAVE had the pleasure of working with both boys in the past. Carl on teams and I met Quigg when Andy Murray and myself used the Collyhurst gym in Manchester for sparring at the early stages of Andy’s senior career.

Make no mistake, Quigg has never had it easy, is hungry, well-schooled and tough opposition, but Carl was always that wee bit special, committed and meticulous in his preparations. My heart and head says Carl Frampton.

Brian McKeown,

Cavan BC coach

IF FRAMPTON boxes the way he did in the second fight against Kiko, he will win. Quigg only knows one way, he has to come forward. Quigg’s going to come forward, throw everything at him and Frampton has to use his boxing skills to win on points over 12 rounds.

Pat Magee,

Boxing promoter

CARL has more experience and is a better all-round boxer than Quigg. Carl’s weight issues may be a factor. Quigg will be dangerous throughout. Frampton to win on points after a bruising bout. Good luck to ‘the Jackal’.

Team Ring, Derry

CARL FRAMPTON will have too much boxing skill for Scott. He will break him down and take him out in the seventh or eighth round.

Phil Sutcliffe,

Crumlin BC, Dublin
