THE sixth Annual Dambusters event, sponsored by Kilkeel Credit Union, takes place in The Silent Valley on Saturday August 19. Organised by award-winning race organisers Born2Run, the event has something for everyone with
a choice of distances that includes a half marathon, a 10K, and for the first time this year there will also be a 5K race.
The half marathon is part of the Pure Running Half Marathon series and is undoubtedly the most scenic of all the races in the series taking runners on a route that combines country road and undulating trails.
Whatever your running distance this race will certainly not disappoint when it comes to scenery as it's set against the backdrop of the Mourne Mountains and The Silent Valley reservoir.
In addition to the running events there will also be a 10K walk.
All runners will receive a beautiful medal on completing the race and there will be a post-race BBQ and refreshments for all to enjoy at the finish line.
