On This Day - April 30 2005: Down beat Dublin to reach the All-Ireland U21 Football Championship final

Conor Laverty was a member of the Down U21 team which beat Dublin 2-7 to 0-9 to reach the All-Ireland final in 2005. The Kilcoo man grabbed 0-2, while Down's goals were netted by James McGovern and Niall McArdle. 1938: The Preston v Huddersfield FA Cup final was the first to be televised in its entirety by the BBC.
