RORY McILROY was a winner again last night as he completed a blistering weekend to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.

McIlroy began the weekend six shots off the halfway lead and moved into contention with a five-under par round of 67 on Saturday, leaving him just three behind third round leader Henrik Stenson.

And, he produced some real magic yesterday as birdies at the sixth, seventh and ninth were followed by a blistering run of four successive gains from holes 13 to 16. That left him at 17-under par and although Bryson DeChambeau yanked up the pressure to get within one by eagling the 16th, McIlroy holed from 25 feet to complete a round of 64 and claim victory.
