1995: Dublin defeated Tyrone by a point in a controversial All-Ireland final. The match is remembered for Charlie Redmond only leaving the pitch two minutes after he was sent off.

1998: Croatia World Cup star Robert Jarni abandoned a 2.6million move to Coventry after previously agreeing to join the Sky Blues, and signed a three-year contract with Real Madrid.
