Could Joe Gormley link up with Liam Boyce again?

Following his first-half hat trick last night, Joe Gormley could be on the move.

With local newspapers in Peterborough speculating that The Posh are prepared to loan out the Belfast-born striker to an “unnamed Scottish club”.

This could fuel speculations that Gormley could pair up with ex-strike partner, Liam Boyce at Ross County. With rumours also stating that Hibernian are amongst the clubs that have been offering Joe “The Goal” on-loan.

Gormley was a record breaker at Cliftonville in 2014, when he beat his own record of most goals in a single season for the Reds, netting 41 goals.

With Boyce and Gormley together, Cliftonville won back-to-back league titles.

Liam Boyce, who narrowly missed out on Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland squad for Euro 2016 was Ross County’s top goalscorer in the 2015/16 season while Joe Gormley missed out due to injury.

The last time the two featured together was the 2013-14 season, where they scored a total of 48 league goals.
