TYSON FURY'S trainer and uncle Peter Fury is confident his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko will result in another defeat for the deposed former champion.
He is also confident Fury can stop Klitschko, who on Wednesday took up his option on an immediate rematch against the new world heavyweight champion. Klitschko has admitted he under-performed in losing his crown to Fury in a below-par contest in Dusseldorf last Saturday night and did not take long to reject any possibility of retirement. But Peter Fury believes he will lose again in a fight which could be staged in England.
"We're very much looking forward to the rematch because I want Tyson to do a more convincing job. I believe Tyson will and can stop him," Peter Fury said.
"He will stop him inside the distance, KO, whatever you want to call it. I am highly confident and we're very grateful for the chance to see it again. We're really looking forward to this fight. We are contracted to face Kiltschko, there's a contract clause for a rematch. This fight will happen and it can happen any time from April-May onwards."
Peter Fury revealed he favoured the rematch to be in England and revealed promoter Mick Hennessy was looking at Wembley Stadium as a venue.
"I know Mick Hennessy is looking at Wembley Stadium so we're going to see if that is available. I would like it to be back here in the UK," he said.
"I'm quite confident the fight can be a mega fight here in the UK and I'm hopeful the fight can end up here. Hopefully we will have an answer [on the venue] in the next few weeks."
Klitschko made his decision to take up a rematch public in a video message on Instagram: "I have a pre-Christmas gift for Tyson Fury and all boxing fans around the world. I'll be making use of my contractual option for a rematch against Fury. So to say, the fight of 2016 is in the making."
Klitschko's performance last Saturday night baffled observers and the Ukrainian clearly believes his defeat was a one-off rather than any indication of advancing years taking their toll on the 39-year-old
He added in a statement: "I was really frustrated directly after the fight but, after some short nights, I now know that I want to show that I am much better than my performance on Saturday.
"I couldn't show my full potential at any time. This is what I want to change in the rematch - and I will. Failure is not an option."
