TYRONE full-back Ronan McNamee has had the black card he received against Kerry in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final overturned following a meeting of the Central Hearings Committee.

The Aghyaran man was shown the black card by referee Maurice Deegan after a challenge on Colm Cooper in the second-half of their keenly contested last-four match against Kerry.

Last night the Committee reviewed video footage of the incident and found that McNamee had no case to answer.

It follows the news that McNamee intends to take an extended break from the game despite making the number three jersey his own in a series of composed displays during the Red Hand county's run to the semi-final.
