Tinkoff-Saxo's Ivan Basso has been forced to drop out at the 10th stage of the Tour de france following his diagnosis of testicular cancer.
Basso was undergoing a medical examination due to ongoing pain after suffering a crash three days before on stage 5, when the tumour was discovered.
