DEE ‘Waldo’ Walsh is determined to stay focused on the job in hand when he faces a very strong Polish fighter in Patryk Litkiewicz at the Devenish Complex, Finaghy Rd North, Belfast on Saturday night.

Like the rest of the boxing fraternity Walsh has been deeply saddened by the death of local prospect Eamonn Magee jnr last weekend.

“Magee jnr played a part in the Dee Walsh camp and he’ll sadly be missed by the team who know he will always be with them,” said Walsh’s promoter Mark Dunlop.

Litkiewicz boasts a 16-7 record with 10 wins by KO and will be looking to spoil the winning run of the talented and undefeated Irish light-middleweight champion.

Chief support looks a fantastic match-up when Paul ‘Hylo’ Hyland will have his work cut out with another KO artist in rated Lithuanian Ivans Levickis (19-18)

Celtic Featherweight champion James Tennyson (number three in the British rankings) keeps busy as he waits for his title shot when he takes on former Polish amateur stand-out Krystof Rogowski.

James ‘The Future’ Fryers looks to tame another puncher in Sergejs Logins who holds a winning record of eight wins (all by KO) against four losses.

Gerard ‘Boom Boom’ Healy looks to continue his winning run when he meets Poland’s durable Pitor Tomaszek over four rounds at middleweight.

Undefeated Tyrone ‘El Gatto’ McKenna goes for win number eight and another step up the British rankings as his team keep him active when he takes on another Pole in Sylwester Walczak in what looks an entertaining four-round contest.

Doors open 6pm with the first fight scheduled at 7pm tickets available on the door. Tickets are £40 (VIP ringside) and £30 (unreserved). Call 07712473905.
