Ballyfin the Boy to back at Tramore

DESPERATELY ordinary stuff at Tramore tomorrow but Ballyfinboy appeals in the Graun Hill Handicap Chase.

He was running off a mark of 123 last summer and looks worth backing on this better ground, having fallen a nice bit in the weights during the second half of last year, the last couple of outings being on testing ground.

He ran a cracker here in the conditions race, which takes place earlier on the card, last year, finishing third behind Balnaslow. If he can get anywhere near that level he looks very well treated.

Killtilane Rose was a good winner at Thurles last month and ran a decent race behind Mallards In Flight at Clonmel at the start of the month. She's entitled to run well and has form on decent ground in the past.

Paul Nolan runs two and has booked two good claimers. Illtakeitfromhere needs to bounce back after a poor showing at Wexford, while The Mooch is on a nice mark over fences compared to his hurdles rating.

The Tramore Racecourse Members Club chase attracts just four runners, with Urano, a 127-rated hurdler who beat Drumlee easily at Cork on his chase debut in January, likely to start a short price.

He was out of his comfort zone subsequently at Navan when a well beaten fourth of six behind Very Wood in a Grade Two, but Ruby Walsh wants to ride him here and Urano has to be the pick to beat Draycott Place and Rocky Wednesday.

Ryan Treacy takes a valuable 7lb off the top weight Kylecrue and he might be worth a shot here after a good run over timber on his return to action at Cork recently.

He disappointed slightly after a cracking run at Leopardstown last March but ran in some really competitive handicaps. He is just a pound higher now than he was at Leopardstown and he'll appreciate this decent ground.

Betterthanalright certainly stays but may actually find this a bit sharp.

He kept on without threatening over course and distance in December and that was on much slower ground.

Gold Tantrum has been running quite well in Dundalk handicaps off low marks and can make a big impression here in the opening mares' maiden hurdle.

Oscar'swan reads a danger of sorts along with the disappointing Flaviana.

In the two-mile-five-furlong maiden, Walsh's only other mount of the afternoon, Bothermenot, switches from point-to-pointing to hurdling.

He's two from five in that sphere and the fact that Ruby rides is a major factor. But he's a beaten favourite on his two starts this year.

Coolbane West has some fair form over hurdles but ran poorly at Clonmel last month when trailing behind Kilford. Deise Vu might be the bigger danger.
