The Dublin featherweight was on top from the first bell and upped the pressure in the fourth round and landed a sweet right uppercut that put Herrera to his knees.

Herrera could not beat the 10 count and Hyland (pictured) claimed the victory that takes his record 30-1. Hyland hopes to be out again next month in America as he seeks to move into contention for a title shot.

n FLOYD Mayweather's super-fight against Manny Pacquiao on May 2 is to be conducted under the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing program.

The welterweight rivals have agreed that their Las Vegas showdown will observe the rules established under the World Anti-Doping Code, the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List and the USADA Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement Testing.

Both Mayweather (pictured) and Pacquiao have agreed to unannounced blood and urine testing without reservation and will be tested out of competition prior to the fight and in competition after the fight.

* RUSSIAN Sergey Kovalev retained his trio of light heavyweight world titles by stopping former champion Jean Pascal in the eighth round in Montreal.

The 31-year-old is now unbeaten in 27 bouts, 24 wins coming by knockout.

Pascal (32) who won the WBC belt in 2009 and defended it three times, suffered the first knock-down of his career in the third round.

The Canadian was pinned to the ropes in the eighth, when all three judges had the score 68-64 for Kovalev.

American-based Kovalev remains WBA, WBO and IBF champion.
