Gigginstown joins the Willie Mullins party on day two...

* WELD DONE: Windsor Park emerged as a possible Ascot Gold Cup contender after striking in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle.

Trainer Dermot Weld is more used to the delights of Royal Ascot but has always enjoyed the challenge of Cheltenham and despite only training a handful of hurdlers - and all of those double up on the Flat - the man who has broken boundaries worldwide is proving a dab hand at getting one right for March.

* POLI PERFECT: Don Poli maintained his unbeaten status over fences after showing an abundance of stamina to get the better of his rivals in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham. The victory provided his trainer Willie Mullins' with his fifth winner at the meeting - and fourth in this race - while bookmakers also reacted to the win with many placing him at the head of the betting to claim next year's Gold Cup

* OPEN D'OR: Victory in the cross-country event went to Tony Martin's Irish raider Rivage D'Or, who benefited from a beautifully judged ride from Davy Russell. The 16-1 chance was given plenty of time to find his stride and crept into contention running down the hill before being produced to lead at the final flight. The 10-year-old galloped all the way to the line to beat last year's runner-up Any Currency, with Willie Mullins-trained pair Uncle Junior and Dogora third and fourth.

* OVER THE MOON: Moon Racer sent favouritebackers home happy by claiming the Weatherbys Champion Bumper. David Pipe's six-year-old was the 9-2 market leader on his first start since making a winning debut under Rules over the course and distance in October. Tom Scudamore had to niggle his mount to close on the leaders at various stages of the Grade One, but he came home well from the final bend and passed the post a length-and-a-half to the good under his jubilant rider.
