Athletics NI confirm championship races for 2015

ATHLETICS NI and the Ulster Athletics Council have confirmed the races which will carry provincial championship status in 2015.

The Queens 5K will incorporate the first championship of the year in March, with the Laganside retaining its 10K status in September.

The Belfast City Half Marathon later that month will be the provincial championship at that distance with Orangegrove AC set to retain the hosting of the hugely popular road relays.

"I am delighted that such high calibre events will host the prestigious 2015 Northern Ireland and Ulster Road Race Championships," said John Allen, General Secretary of Athletics Northern Ireland. "Over the past number of years the Championships have grown in stature with titles sought after by both individual athletes and clubs. "Each of these races caters to a large number of club athletes and fun runners from all parts of Ireland and further afield and I am sure this year's events will be no exception."
