Hamilton and Burrows to team up

BALLYCLARE rider Jamie Hamilton's link-up with Dungannon-based Burrows Engineering Racing for the 2015 Irish and International road racing season, looks destined to be a partnership full of promise.

Hamilton's attack on the BE Racing machinery at national level, certainly looks like an unbeatable combination, with both men well-seasoned experts in the road racing scene.

For Hamilton, it appears to be just the ticket the former British champion needed, after a lack-lustre 2014 season with the highlyrespected Wilson Craig Racing Honda Team. His link-up with former racer John Burrows, now team principal of the BE Racing team, could not have come at a better time for both parties with Hamilton looking for new horizons in 2015 and Burrows having been seeking a new rider for next season.

Burrows had his best ever season in 2014 as team principal, with Manx rider Dan Kneen sweeping the tables in the Superbike class, taking the Irish title with ease on the big BE Racing Suzuki.

Kneen parted company with Burrows at the end of the season to join the Millsport Racing Team for 2015, but his replacement with Hamilton is far better than could have been imagined.

This pairing is likely to make big news at all levels in 2015.

"I am delighted to be part of such a professional and respected team as Burrows Engineering Racing for next season, the perfect Christmas box for me,'' said Hamilton.

"John and his team proved the very point in 2014 just how good they were and the reliability of his machines speak for themselves.

"We have extremely competitive machinery for 2015 and I really cannot wait to get the season under way."

Burrows is equally as delighted to have Hamilton as his number one rider in 2015.

"I needed a good replacement for Dan, and I've got it," said Burrows.

"Jamie has proved his talent from British to national level on both roads and short circuits. It's a privilege to have him on our team for 2015, and an exciting season I believe lays ahead."

Hamilton and Burrows will kick off their partnership in early 2015 with pre-season testing before the start of the Irish Road Race Championships, which kickstart the season at the popular Cookstown 100 races.
