Final call for Belfast City half-marathon

THE organisers are sending out a final call for runners to participate in the second Deep RiverRock Belfast City half-marathon on September 14. The final deadline date is on Sunday at midnight and would-be participants are urged to get their entry in immediately. Almost 3,000 have already

registered for the event and the organisers are confident that last year's record of 3,500 will be broken.

With a new impressive route, showcasing major tourist attractions and inspirational messages every mile from Deep RiverRock, the 13.1 mile journey will be made easier for all participants hoping to cross the finish line and receive their well-earned medal.

The organisers are adamant that the entry deadline will not be extended and no entries will be accepted after Sunday night. Entries can be made online at www.belfastcityhalfmarathon.net or by contacting the marathon office directly by telephone on 9060 5933.

Entries also close on Wednesday, September 3 for the Laganside 10K. The limit of 1,000 competitors is likely to be reached soon meaning that there will be no entries accepted on the day. See www.laganside10k.com for details.
