Naismith: Scots sights on Euros

STEVEN Naismith admits Scotland's resurgence under Gordon Strachan can only be truly gauged when the Euro 2016 qualifiers begin next year. Everton forward Naismith and the rest of the Scotland players will have to kick their heels for the best part of a year until the Euro qualifiers begin, and in the meantime will have to play a series of friendlies starting with the visit of the United States to Hampden Park on Friday. That is followed by an away game in Norway next Tuesday. "It is important because the squad is getting to the mid-to-late 20s stage," he said. "We have moved on a long way but the real test will be when the Euros start and we have to be ready for that."
