Max Sorensen and Kevin O'Brien each took three wickets as Ireland claimed their second win over Scotland in three days after easing to a seven-wicket victory in Belfast.

Having ended Scotland's hopes of automatic World Cup qualification on Friday, Ireland's seamers twisted the knife further by taking all 10 wickets to restrict their opponents to a paltry 165 all out after they had won the toss. Sorensen and O'Brien took three wickets apiece, while Stuart Thompson and Eddie Richardson shared the remaining four scalps in the International Cricket Council World Cricket League Championship encounter before Ireland's batsman chased down the target in 33 overs, with Niall O'Brien ensuring there were few alarms.

The in-form Will Porterfield, who followed up his century against England with 62 on Friday, fell for just five after being cleaned up by Ian Wardlaw.

The Scotland paceman then accounted for another opener in Paul Stirling, who feathered a catch down the leg-side.

Ed Joyce and Niall O'Brien put on 69 for the third wicket before the former was bowled by off-spinner Majid Haq for 39 although that failed to disrupt Ireland's momentum.

O'Brien continued to kick on and brought up his 50 off 54 balls with a clip to square-leg off Haq and it was fitting that he struck the winning run with a single down to long leg to finish on 65 not out, with Gary Wilson (35 not out) providing valuable support in an unbroken 75-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Guy Martin, riding the Tyco Suzuki's dominated Saturday's Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod, taking a hat-trick of wins plus the Man of the Meeting award, writes Willis Marshall.

Martin became the third most successful rider in the history of the Ulster Grand Prix with 11 race wins and also set the fastest lap of the day in the second superbike race with a lap speed of 132.93mph.

He took his first win in the Barron Transport Services Supersport 600 race and continued his winning ways in the feature race of the day - the McKinstry Skip Hire Superbike. Martin was locked in a ding-dong battle with Michael Dunlop on the TT Legends Honda, but not even Dunlop's fastest lap, the fastest lap of the meeting at 133.09mph, was enough to beat the Suzuki rider.

Martin then made it a day not to forget in the IFS Superbike race in which he led from start to finish.

He took an early lead followed by Gary Johnson and William Dunlop and by the end of lap three had opened up a three-second lead over Dunlop. Martin was just too good for the rest and took a four-second win over Bruce Anstey and Manxman Conor Cummins after William Dunlop was forced to retire.

In the Lisburn City Council Superstock race, Michael Dunlop on the Hunts McAdoo Honda, took a runaway win with seven seconds to spare over second-placed Gary Johnson with Anstey in third.

William Dunlop gave it a win each for the Dunlop brothers in the Around A Pound Supersport 500 Race two when he produced the move of the day on the final corner of the final lap wen it looked like Anstey had the race in the bag.
