Dunne in but Keogh left out

RIChARD Dunne and Anthony Pilkington have both been included in Giovanni Trapattoni's provisional Republic of Ireland squad for the must-win World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Austria.

Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni was at Loftus Road at the weekend as Dunne performed well, helping QPR to a 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers.

Trapattoni has kept faith in Norwich midfielder Pilkington despite the player withdrawing from the national set-up on five occasions in the last 12 months.

Andy Keogh is the only notable absentee from Trapattoni's squad and the Millwall striker sent two Tweets yesterday that are unlikely to help his cause for future games. "Not even in the provisional squad, gutted, oh well might get called in last minute! #noloyalty" he tweeted. he added: "Not moaning about being left out just gutted, lot of quality in the squad, maybe after Oman and NY a text or phone call would of been courteous!!"
